Black walnut, 19”L x 7”W x 1.5”H. No longer available.
This serving tray was carved from a severely burned piece of the black walnut tree my father rescued from the banks of the Leon River near Jonesboro, Texas in 1957. Even after removing the most charred portions, fire-darkened areas can still be seen. Immediately claimed by my daughter, it is shown with a black walnut cheese knife.
