Post oak, 10”L x 7.5”W x 9.5”H.

I particularly like this small sculpture from the decayed core of a large post oak. No matter how I turn it, the effects of time, insects, and fungal attack I see the intricate swirling patterns of the remaining light and dark wood. Three small protuberances provide a handy basal tripod, and the void through in its center it is the perfect location for an air plant or dried plant materials.
