Post oak, 60”L x 19”W x 13”H. No longer available.

I carved this piece of post oak from the trunk of a fallen tree in the 1980s. It is riddled with the tunnels of wood boring insect grubs and is mounted on a piece of Edwards limestone. Because it has always been in our garden and exposed to the elements, I have sanded and refinished it with spar varnish several times. I would live to be able to carve more garden sculptures like this!
