This sculpture was cut from the base of a large post oak bulldozed and piled in the 1970s. Fungi and insects had plenty of time to reduce it to its current size, and their efforts left a beautifully shaped and colored piece that I carved, sanded, finished, and mounted on a piece of hard Edwards limestone.
