Native black walnut, 9” to 12” $35; 12” to 14”

I carved these spoons, spatulas and salad servers from remnants of a large black walnut tree pulled from the Leon River in Hamilton County in the 1950s. Some are sold singly and some in pairs. After these photos were taken, I retouched all the pieces with 1000 grit sandpaper and the last of several coats of tung oil to produce a soft, food-safe finish.
