Honey mesquite on black marble base, 14”L x 9”W x 15”H. No longer available.

I carved this piece in the 1980s for my mother. It is the remnant of a honey mesquite core that had suffered the effects of heart rot and insect attack over decades. Because of its history, I consider it a family heirloom.
